Largest Religious structure in the world, Originally constructed as a Hindu temple dedicated to lord Vishnu. The Khmer Empire gradually transformed it into a Buddhist temple toward the end of the 12th century.
Bayon Temple
There are several other huge temples around the Angkor Wat complex that various kings built during their reign of the Khmer Empire. Built in the 12th century, Bayon temple was constructed under the new king along with his shift towards Buddhism. There are 200 faces carved into the temple to celebrate the king and his inflated ego.
Ta Prohm
This temple was featured as a filming location for Tomb Raider 3.
