Fleximodal TV

Promotional work for an online music event curated by Lukas Wigflex and MultiModal.

Some massive names and a huge audience will be watching so it was an incredible opportunity to get my work out there.

I was responsible for everything in the video except for the building model and the audio track.

This was another portion of work I created for the line up release for the online event. These images were shared by dozens of high profile DJ’s and online magazines to advertise and hype the event.

Here is the building model with some modifications such as the building text, a light setup to illuminate the text and an emission map for the windows of the buildings to make it more realistic.

I actually took some inspiration from my recent trip to Chernobyl when figuring out the text model, like how its hollow on one side and how the metal support beams connect.

Also, any excuse to tell people that I’ve been to Chernobyl…

The initial inspiration for the project was from a very talented Russian 3D-artist by the name of Oleg.zvg. I loved the uniformity and the dystopian living conditions of his work and wanted to echo those themes into my project. When looking for various brutalist styled buildings to use for the project I bumped into the free model he used on turbo squid. I didn’t want my work to be a carbon copy of his so it took several different attempts to come up with something that I felt was visually different than Olegs works.
